Prayer 7:15 PM

Dear CBC,

As a first step toward returning to in-person services, CBC is planning weekly prayer meetings starting on Wednesday, August 5th at 7:30 PM. These will be held in the Education (Ed) Wing and be limited to the state required 25% capacity, which equals 30 people total.

Since space is limited, anyone interested in attending MUST contact Pastor by Tuesday evening before the meeting date to RSVP.

We have missed each other during this pandemic, but it is important to be safe as we begin in-person church activities. Please adhere to the following:

  • Anyone who is not feeling well must stay home.
  • Anyone who has a compromised immune system is strongly encouraged to stay home.
  • Touchless temperature checks will be performed at the door before entry.
  • Face masks / coverings must be worn at all times.
  • Bathrooms will be available for emergencies only.
  • Please note that the church will be taking the following precautions in preparation:

  • The Ed Wing will be cleaned before and after the prayer meeting.
  • There will be one directional flow of people through the building.
  • Tables will be spaced apart to maintain social distancing requirements of at least 6 feet.
  • We realize that it has been too long since we have seen each other in-person. After the prayer meeting, people will be able to socialize outside the building, which is considered much safer than indoors. The wearing of masks and social distancing is requested even outdoors.

Prayer meetings will also be available as a Zoom video conference. The meeting weblink will be sent out to everyone that requests it so all will be able to participate; even if spaces are filled or you are not comfortable attending in-person.

It is our hope that these prayer meetings are a safe means for growing in our faith with God as well as fellowship with each other. If all goes well, this will be the first step toward in-person Church Services on Sundays in the near future.

    1. Live Video Streaming Church Services - Continued:
    2. While some activities are re-opening with strict limitations (including the CBC weekly prayer meetings described above), our desire is to proceed with caution for the safety of our congregation. Keeping this in mind, CBC will continue the Live Video Streaming Church Services each Sunday. We are prepared to continue Live Video Streaming Services through August 2020, but hopefully we will be returning at some point in the near future.

Please join us at visitcbc.org, and click on the Live Video Streaming (camera photo) each Sunday a little before 10:30 AM EDT.

    3. Food Resources:
    4. We have recently acquired a list of Monmouth County food pantries and soup kitchens. These agencies are excellent sources for acquiring needed food or, if you wish, donating food and/or funds.

    5. Giving:
    6. If you care to support the ministry during this time, you can mail a check to CBC or setup a bill pay through your checking account where a check is generated by your bank and sent to CBC.

Our Church believes the Bible to be God's inspired holy truth. Therefore, whatever we believe, teach, or do, is because we believe it to be God's revealed will for all His children. We see Christianity not as a "passive religion" but rather as an "active way to daily life". Our goal at CBC is to be pleasing to God by seeking to love and glorify Him in all we are and do. In order to live this active Christian life, we must strive in God's power to be devoted to loving God and our neighbor. Therefore, private and public worship, local and worldwide evangelism, Christ-like love and servanthood are to be regular characteristics of our lives.
